The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is the body that regulates financial advisers.

Only firms and individuals with permission from the FCA can advise on pension transfers. You can check whether an adviser is registered on the FCA’s Financial Services Register

You can check whether an advisor is registered and qualified to advise on pension transfers on the Personal Finance Society's register of qualified advisers.
