As one of the largest housing associations in the UK, we've a responsibility to take the lead on sustainability. We're striving to reduce our carbon impacts to achieve the Government’s target of net zero carbon by 2050. We also want to help residents save money on their energy bills and reduce their environmental impact. We want residents to help us shape our objectives around sustainability.
The session on 5 April was held at Woburn House Conference Centre in London. It was part of our sustainability co-creation project and was arranged following surveys and interviews to gather resident views earlier this year.
The fun and informal session included lots of activities throughout the day which were designed to allow colleagues and residents to work together, co-creating an approach to measuring and reporting on our sustainability objectives.
All attendees had the opportunity to share their views and discuss what matters most to them when it comes to the environment.
A local artist from ‘More than Minutes’ even attended to create visual minutes of the day, capturing all key discussion points from the session.
A Sustainable Optivo is a key priority for us and our residents. Co-creating with our residents the roadmap to achieving Net Zero is at the heart of our approach and we’ll continue to engage with our residents and other key stakeholders to formulate and deliver the roadmap.
