Fire safety inspections

Last updated: 19 July 2021

We’re still carrying out fire safety work inspections and repairs.

It’s important you continue to allow our contractors access to your home so we can complete this work. This is vital for your safety and others.

The work will include:
  • Installing door closers
  • Installing smoke seals to doors
  • Changing some flat entrance doors
  • Installing smoke/heat detectors in flats if they’re not already fitted.
Even though most national COVID19 restrictions have been lifted, the safety of our residents and staff remains our number one priority. For this reason, with high numbers of COVID cases in the community, we’ll be continuing to follow our current safety measures for the time being (this will see us continuing with the wearing of face coverings and employing social distancing).

We're also be asking our contractors to follow our COVID secure measure when it comes to visits. They will maintain a two metre distance from you while they carry out the inspection and we’d ask that you do the same.

Please be assured, our contractors will wear suitable protective wear when in your home so they can carry out the inspection as safely as possible.

Remember, if you’ve been told to self-isolate and we’re due to visit your home it’s critical you let us know beforehand. This is vital for the safety of you, our staff and others.

*Please keep access in communal areas free of obstacles. For further information about fire safety visit our web page.
