London Living Rent Case Study- Meet Amoy
London Living Rent Case Study- Meet Amoy
23 February 2021
When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, trainee nurse associate, Amoy, was living with her godparents and feared for their health.
She took the decision to move out for their safety, but worried about finding a home she could afford.
Now, she’s living in a brand new apartment in Croydon and couldn’t be happier.
Amoy was able to move into Optivo’s Cairo Apartments, in the heart of the town centre, thanks to London Living Rent.
London Living Rent allows aspiring property owners to rent their new home for the first three years, with a 20% discount off the recommend market renting price.
By paying less, they’re able to save for a deposit to buy a share of their home through the Shared Ownership scheme, which is exactly what Amoy plans to do.
Amoy said: “I’d looked into Shared Ownership before, but didn’t have the deposit saved that was needed for it. London Living Rent was attractive to me as it allows me to rent and save to buy a share at the same time”.
The 24-year-old has settled into her brand new apartment with her younger sister. It features two spacious bedrooms and an en-suite, together with the main bathroom.
The apartments in this new build have been created to offer enough versatility to cater for every lifestyle.
Open-plan living areas have been designed to maximise space and light and provide interiors that are always a dream to come home to.
Before moving into Cairo Apartments, Amoy spoke to Joseph, Sales Officer at Redloft, appointed by Optivo, who carefully went through her affordability options. He guided her through the application process of making one of the beautiful homes at Cairo Apartments her own.
Amoy said: “Joseph was so helpful. He was excellent at communicating with me and within five days of applying for my apartment, I was moving in.
It’s amazing to see how efficent Optivo are in getting people moving, even in the middle of a pandemic. I’d recommend them to anyone.”
This stunning home really ticks all the boxes for Amoy. It has views that stretch across London, the tram stop is steps away from her front door and the main shopping centre is within walking distance.
‘Everything is right at my fingertips’ says Amoy. ‘My work is just a direct bus away that stops minutes away from home – it’s the perfect location’.
Amoy also benefits from the use of two beautiful open spaces - a children’s play area and a sophisticated, relaxing rooftop setting.
She added: “I’m really looking forward to having friends over so we can enjoy the rooftop, and it’s great to see a play area for children too, meaning my home will grow with me should I start a family in the future.
The fact Optivo have given us two lovely open spaces to enjoy really goes to show they put people at the heart of their developments.”
A spokesperson for Redloft said: “Joseph, our lead lettings consultant has enjoyed helping a number of people move into their new homes at Cairo Road and has even had customers refer their friends! What a great product being offered by Optivo!”
