Remember your rent this Christmas

19 November 2021

Christmas budgeting can be tough. But it’s important to keep up payments on your bills, including your rent.

Earlier this year we aligned all our rent accounts, so rent is now charged over 52 weeks, rather than 48 or 50. This means you’ll still be charged rent over the Christmas period.

Why we made this changeAdobeStock_238887372-(1).jpeg

  • To help support residents who receive Universal Credit as this is paid monthly

  • Residents who receive UC will no longer need to notify the DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) about rent-free weeks (this can often lead to confusion and inaccuracies)

  • It simplifies how we set rents and makes managing accounts more efficient.

We know how stressful it can be when it comes to managing your money. But you should never worry about how you’re going to pay your rent.
