Looking for a new job this summer? We've a number of free employment support workshops avaialble to help you when applying for a new job which you can participate from the comfort of your home.

CV Workshop

Interactive virtual workshop for participants who need to update a CV or create a new one. This workshop gets participants thinking about the importance of a great CV, different layouts, transferable skills and the do’s and don’ts when writing a CV.
 
Following the workshop all participants will be offered virtual 121 support to start creating their winning CV.

Interview Workshop

This workshop will cover communication, problem solving, teamwork and the transferable skills they can adapt to any new job. We will also cover different types of interviews such as Skype, telephone and face to face.
This will be an interactive workshop which participants will get involved and give example of interviews they’ve had in the past. We will also tell them about the STAR method when answering questions and give them examples.
 
Following the workshop all participants will be offered virtual 121 support to start working on their interview skills.

Job Searching Workshop

In this workshop we will cover CV only applications. Why cover letters are important and how to research a company. We will also explore job searching via social media such as Facebook and LinkedIn.
We’ll look at different job sites such as Indeed, Monster, Reed and also the pros and cons of using agencies and recruitment companies.
 
Following the workshop all participants will be offered virtual 121 support to ensure they are doing regular job searching with support with any applications and supporting statements.
